Dick Mann’s Factory Triumph. Offered for sale. A rare piece of flattrack racing history. Dick Mann’s Factory Sponsored Short Rod 750 Triumph. It is in a one of one Dick Mann Triumph frame. Right side shift with transmission conversion to BSA shift pattern. Built and raced by Dick Mann in the 1974 season at such legendary venues as the Peoria TT, the Colorado Mile, the Castle Rock TT and the San Jose Mile. Restored by personally by Dick Mann to race ready condition. Fast and sounds amazing.

I built this Yamaha DT2MX with a trackmaster frame back in 1974. I sold it in 75 or 76 to a student attending the University of Wisconsin Platteville. The motor number of the DT2MX motor is 192293. Im not sure if the motor is still the same after all these years, the person that bought it from me back in 75 or 76 said that he may change the motor. If you have any info on this bike it would greatly appreciated.

72 DT-2 mx first year, chrome lined non reed GYT top end RARE..,square/straight cut primary gears RARE, right side shift, mikuni,K&N, recent new clutch plates,T&M pipe, Maely fiberglass tank coated w/ Caswells, Dallas Baker /C&J nickled frame, Yamaha forks and chromed triple clamp- pealing a bit, Kenny Roberts bars,Spool w/ Akront and Pirelli tire, Rear Barnes quick change w/ Carlisle tire, Airheart master cyl, new rear caliper. Spare cylinder w/new sleeve, piston and ring, spare front and rear gearing/sprockets, and main jets. This is a runner, Bel-Ray trans oil only, Maxima castor oil mix. Needs new float needle. Been in the family forever, built & maintained by my uncle since the 70's.

Nu är motorn ihopsatt, kraftkällan alltets ursprung!

.. glasblästrat är nice, och med polerade kåpor blir det ännu "nicare"...

...ihopsättningen flöt på bra, förutom ett nållager från "Uppsala Lelle" hade fixat åt mig, det visade sig att det inte var rätt sort....

...sedan var det drev i lådan som fick pressas på plats...till rätt läge på axeln, gick bra till slut, som kuriosa kan jag berätta att det krävdes 7,6 tons kraft att pressa dit dem...
